 In Geneva (by appointment only)

Xavier Magaldi (1975) lives and works in Geneva. He belongs to a generation of artists emerging from graffiti who have expanded their practice beyond its origins, developing a rigorous and structured artistic language that engages contemporary space in new ways.

Following a transition from the street to the studio, he developed a geometric abstraction defined by precision, tension and clarity. His work unfolds across painting, sculpture, installation and immersive digital environments.

Trained as a watchmaker and now working as a designer, Magaldi integrates structural discipline and attention to detail into every aspect of his practice. His compositions are driven by verticality, balance and controlled dynamism, reflecting ongoing explorations of time, space and speculative futures.

Beyond the surface, his work seeks to materialize time and translate invisible forces into structured form. Whether on canvas or in volume, each piece is constructed, deliberate and spatially aware.

Over recent years, this research has expanded into monumental sculpture. Conceived in dialogue with contemporary architecture and urban environments, his large-scale interventions introduce vertical markers and structural axes within public and institutional contexts.

Executed in materials such as corten steel and developed through a methodology combining artistic vision, structural engineering and international logistics, these monumental works are designed for long-term integration. They reflect a sustained investigation into permanence, territorial identity and the cultural role of sculpture within the built environment.

Parallel to his physical practice, Magaldi continues to explore immersive and augmented digital environments, extending his sculptural language into virtual space while maintaining formal coherence and structural clarity.

Across all dimensions of his work, he develops a consistent and evolving visual language in which line, volume and direction become architectural elements guiding perception toward a forward-looking horizon.
